Proposal to The New York Times
strategy, print
Since it was founded, the Neediest Cases Fund of The New York Times has assisted thousands of children, families, single parents and retirees; and shed light on the lives of those who are living in poverty. Brooklyn Community Services (BCS) has been a beneficiary of the fund since its inception in 1912. Their clients choose to participate in the campaign so their stories can be an inspiration to others going through difficult times and encourage The New York Times executives to support the fund.
When the time to reapply for funding came up, BCS reached out for help. I analyzed the documents provided by the non-profit for the scope of service, deliverables, red flags, and proposal gaps. Following the requested outline, the copy was developed in conjunction with various members of the organization to identify needed data points for the proposal.
