Buffalo by David Bitton Costco Ad
advertising, direct mail, print
The Buffalo by David Bitton Kids' Brief multipack campaign for Costco required strategic creative direction across two distinct advertising formats within the warehouse club's direct mail ecosystem. This project translated the brand's vibrant, youthful aesthetic into Costco's promotional print environment while maximizing visual impact within limited spatial constraints.
Creative direction established a product-focused approach that emphasized both variety and value, showcasing the colorful multipack configurations through clean, organized layouts. The challenge centered on communicating the breadth of options—girls' briefs, boys' briefs, and multiple pack sizes—while maintaining visual clarity in confined advertising real estate competing with numerous other promotional offerings.
The quarter-page Costco Connect magazine and half-page Multi-Vendor Mailer advertisement formats prioritized maximum product visibility, featuring the vibrant brief collections that immediately communicated color variety and pattern diversity. Boys' and girls' offerings were strategically separated to facilitate quick visual navigation for parents shopping specific categories. The layout balanced playful energy with organized presentation, reflecting both the product's fun aesthetic and the practical purchase considerations of multipack basics.
Both executions successfully integrated Buffalo by David Bitton's contemporary brand identity into Costco's value-driven marketing framework, creating compelling visual merchandising that drove consideration for kids' basics while competing effectively for attention within heavily merchandised direct mail pieces.
